?????????: There are two ways to treat gummy smiles with injectables. The first way is using Botox to slightly relax the muscles responsible for raising the upper lip. After treated, when you smile, your upper lip will now cover your gums. The second way is using filler to add volume to the upper lip, which lowers the upper lip slightly so that less gum is exposed when smiling. Sometimes, we do a combination of both Botox and filler to perfect your smile.
This patient had a lip enhancement using filler and this lowered her upper lip when she smiles. There is some swelling present since photo was taken immediately after treatment.
