What should you do after getting lip filler? Save this post for future reference

️⃣ Do not lick or bite your lips. Your freshly injected lips have tiny invisible needle holes. Your saliva contains millions of bacteria and can cause an infection.

️⃣ Do not massage or manipulative your lips. This may cause the filler to move to undesirable locations.

️⃣ Avoid drinking extremely hot drinks on the first day to prevent burning or swelling.

️⃣ If you are prone to getting cold sores, lip injections may trigger a flare up. Make sure you let your cosmetic injector know, and take the medication that you are prescribed at the time of injections and again 12 hours later.

️⃣ Some pain and discomfort is normal. You can use an ice pack wrapped in a soft cloth and place over the lips. You may also take Tylenol. Contact your injector if you have extreme pain or a visible sore after your injections. This may indicate an infection and may need to be treated with a medication if necessary.

️⃣ If you experience bruising, take arnica montana pellets. You can cover with lipstick.

️⃣ Be patient. Full results are seen in 6-14 days. Sometimes the lips look asymmetrical while they are swollen. Always wait a full two weeks to assess the how the filler settled.
